O R D E R
The Director of Municipal Administration, A.P., Hyderabad in the letter 5th
read above has submitted the proposal received in the letter 2nd read above from
the District Collector, Srikakulam for inclusion of the following villages in the Peri-
urban areas into the Municipal Limits of Srikakulam Municipality as required under
rule 5 (iii) of Andhra Pradesh Municipalities (Inclusion or Exclusion of areas into /
from the limits of Municipalities / Nagar Panchayats) Rules, 2006 issued in
G.O.Ms.No. 63, MA & UD Department, dated: 18.2.2006:
1. Peddapadu,
2. Kusalapuram (Etcherla Mandal),
3. Thotapalem,
4. Killipalem,
5. Chapuram,
6. Khazipet and
7. Pathrunivalasa
2. The Director of Municipal Administration, A.P., Hyderabad has also reported
that the Municipal Commissioner, Srikakulam, informed that certain representations
objecting the inclusion of Gram Panchayats and certain representations accepting
for inclusion of Gram Panchayats into the limits of Srikakulam Municipality were
received. However, the Special Officer & Joint Collector of Srikakulam District
(Council) has accepted for inclusion of above Gram Panchayats into the limits of
Srikakulam Municipality vide C.R. No. 10/624, dated: 17.11.2011 in the interest of
the public health, and for integrated and comprehensive planned development of
Panchayats and Srikakulam Municipality.
3. Government after careful consideration of the proposal, decided to include
the seven (7) Gram Panchayats viz., 1.Peddapadu, 2. Kusalapuram (Etcherla
Mandal), 3. Thotapalem, 4. Killipalem, 5. Chapuram, 6. Khazipet and 7.
Pathrunivalasa into Srikakulam Municipality. Accordingly, in the reference 3rd read
above, Government have issued a Show Cause Notice to the Srikakulam Municipal
Council calling for their views/suggestion if any and of the Public on the proposal to
include the Gram Panchayats named in para (1) above into Srikakulam Municipality,
the Srikakulam Municipal Council vide its Resolution No. 10/624, date: 17.11.2011
has accepted for inclusion of above seven (7) Gram Panchayats into limits of
Srikakulam Municipality to provide infrastructure facilities.

4. In the reference 6th read above, Government in Panchayat Raj and Rural
Development Department have de-notified the above said seven (7) Gram
Panchayats of Srikakulam District for their merger into Srikakulam Municipality.
5. Therefore, the Government hereby issue the following notification for
inclusion of seven (7) Gram Panchayats viz., 1.Peddapadu, 2. Kusalapuram (Etcherla
Mandal), 3. Thotapalem, 4. Killipalem, 5. Chapuram, 6. Khazipet and 7.
Pathrunivalasa into the limits of Srikakulam Municipality.
6. The following notification will be published in the Extra-ordinary Issue of the
Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated:07-02-2012.
7. The Commissioner, Printing, Stationary and Stores Purchase, Hyderabad is
requested to publish the above notification and furnish 100 copies of the Andhra
Pradesh Gazette to the Government immediately.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred under Sub-section (1A) of section 3 of the
Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965 read with clause (vi) of rule 5 of the Andhra
Pradesh Municipalities (inclusion or exclusion of the areas into/from the limits of
Municipalities/Nagar Panchayats) Rule, 2006 issued in G.O.Ms.No.63, M.A. & U.D.
(Elec.II) Department, dated 18.2.2006, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby alters
the limits of the Srikakulam Municipality by including the following areas of the
erstwhile Grampanahcyats of Srikakulam District therein with immediate effect:-
1. Peddapadu,
2. Kusalapuram (Etcherla Mandal),
3. Thotapalem,
4. Killipalem,
5. Chapuram,
6. Khazipet and
7. Pathrunivalasa
