O R D E R:
In the reference 1st read above, the Commissioner, Kurnool Municipal
Corporation, has forwarded the proposal for allotment of site to an extent of
568.70 Sq.Yds near King Market Area to Wakf Board in lieu of the site
(Ac.0.25) taken over for construction of E.L.S.R in Sy. No. 3 at Kallur Darwaza
of Kurnool Town to Government, through the Director of Town & Country
Planning.
2. In the reference 2nd read above the Director of Town & Country Planning,
has forwarded the proposal of the Commissioner, Kurnool Municipal Corporation
and the plan copies of the said proposal of allotment of site to an extent of
568.70 Sq.Yds near King Market Area to Wakf Board in lieu of site (Ac.0.25)
taken over for construction of E.L.S.R in Sy. No.3 at Kallur Darwaza of Kurnool
Town, wherein it has been stated that, 14 ELSRs are proposed in the Water
supply improvement scheme under UIDSSMT scheme in Kurnool Municipal
Corporation. Out of 14 E.L.S.Rs., 13 E.L.S.Rs are nearing completion and are
going to be commissioned shortly. Out of 14 ELSRs, one ELSR is proposed near
Kallur Darwaza having a capacity of 1500 K.litrs intended for the benefit of the
poor Muslim families who comprise more than 90% in thickly populated slum in
and around the area is not taken up due to lack of suitable site. Hence, it is
proposed to take up the construction of the said ELSR in the site owned by the
Wakf Board admeasuring Ac.0.25.
3. It has been further stated that, there is no other land available for
construction of ELSR in the vicinity and if the ELSR is cancelled due to non-
available of sufficient land, it will be an irreparable loss to the poor Muslim
families residing in the vicinity which cannot be compensated in the near future
and also the said poor Muslim families will be forced to be deprived of essential
basic need of safe drinking water.
4. It has been also stated that, the Chief Executive Officer, Andhra Pradesh
State Wakf Board, Hyderabad, has informed that, the Board in its 11th meeting
resolved to agree for the proposal of the District Collector, Kurnool, for
allotment of Wakf land in Sy.No.3 to an extent of Ac.0.25 cents subject to
condition that an alternative land would be allotted in exchange of the allotment
of the said site of equal worth near Srinivasa Theatre in Kurnool Town or any
other land in prime locality of Kurnool Town and that the matter was placed
before the General Body of the Municipal Corporation, Kurnool in its Meeting
held on 30-08-2010, suggested to allot a site of 568.70 Sq.Yds near the King
Market area since it is equal in worth in term of value and the Council Resolved
in C.R. No.135 to allot the said site of 568.70 Sq.Yds, near the King Market area
since it is equal in 568.70 Sq.Yds. or 11.70 cents to Wakf Board in lieu of the
site taken over by the Municipal Corporation for construction of E.L.S.R. In viewof the above, the Commissioner, Kurnool Municipal Corporation, has requested
the Government to issue necessary orders at the earliest.

5. The Director of Town & Country Planning, while furnishing the above
factual report, has requested the Government, to issue necessary orders, in the
matter.
6. After careful examination of the entire issue, Government have decided
to accept the proposal of the Commissioner, Kurnool Municipal Corporation as
recommended by the Director of Town & Country Planning, for allotment of site
to an extent of 568.70 Sq.Yds., near King Market Area to Wakf Board in lieu of
the site (Ac.0.25) taken over for construction of E.L.S.R in Sy. No.3 at Kallur
Darwaza of Kurnool Town.
7. Accordingly, Government hereby allots the site to an extent of 568.70
Sq.Yds. near King Market Area to Wakf Board in lieu of the site (Ac.0.25) taken
over for the construction of E.L.S.R in Sy.No.3 at Kallur Darwaza of Kurnool
Town.
8. The Commissioner, Kurnool Municipal Corporation/Director of Town &
Country Planning, shall take necessary further action accordingly.
