Objections and suggestions to these draft rules, if any, may be sent to the Additional Secretary (MVL, Transport & Toll), Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Transport Bhawan, Parliament Street, New Delhi-110 001 or on the email: comments-morth@gov.in; DRAFT RULES 1. Short title and commencement - (1) These rules may be called as the Central Motor Vehicles (……Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2) Save as otherwise provided in these rules, they shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In Central Motor Vehicle Rules(CMVR),1989, after rule 125J, the following rules shall be inserted, namely:- “125K- Type Approval of Compressed Gaseous Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles- The compressed gaseous hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine vehicles of Categories M and N shall be in accordance with AIS 195:2023 as amended from time to time till the corresponding BIS specification is notified under the Bureau of Indian Standard Act, 1986 (63 of 1986).
