नारी बन्दीे निकेतन, लखनऊ में निरूद्ध सिद्धदोष महिला बन्दी जगदेई पत्नी श्री श्रीराम, निवासिनी, जनपद-सीतापुर की स्थाई नीति के अन्तर्गत दयायाचिका के आधार पर समयपूर्व रिहाई के संबंध में।
On January 21, 2026, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, under Article 161 of the Constitution of India, orders the release of female prisoner Jagdei (Prisoner No. 2073), wife of Shri Shriram, resident of Mirdahi Tola, in front of Shyamnath Mandir, Thana-Kotwali Sitapur, District-Sitapur, from Nari Bandi Niketan, Lucknow. She was sentenced to life imprisonment on 14.11.2013 by the Court No. 08, Additional Sessions Judge, Sitapur, in Session Trial No. 887/2010 under Sections 302, 498A and 4 DP Act of IPC. Considering her age (73 years, 08 days as of 07.05.2022) and satisfactory jail conduct, the remaining sentence is waived, provided she is not required to be detained in any other case. To maintain peace, she must furnish two sureties and a personal bond of equal amount to the satisfaction of the District Magistrate, Sitapur, for her release from prison.
