NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 1st July, 2025.
G.S.R. 436(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (zb) of sub-section (2) of
section 101 read with sub-section (3) of section 57 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (35 of 2019), the
Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the National Consumer Disputes
Redressal Commission (Group ‘A’ posts) Recruitment Rules, 2023, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement - (1) These rules may be called the National Consumer Disputes
Redressal Commission (Group ‘A’ posts) Recruitment (Second Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (Group ‘A’ posts) Recruitment Rules,
2023, in the Schedule, against serial number 5, relating to the post of Principal Private Secretary, in column
(12), for the entries relating to the Departmental Promotion Committee, the following entries shall be
substituted, namely:-
“Departmental Promotion Committee (for considering promotion) consisting of:-
1. Member, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission – Chairperson;
2. Registrar or Joint Registrar, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission – Member;
3. Director or Deputy Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs – Member.”.
