Need to include Arani Parliamentary Constituency in Tamil Nadu under PM Gati Shakti-National Master Plan.-laid SHRI THARANIVENTHAN M. S. (ARANI): I would like to draw the attention of the Government to the need for inclusion of Arani Lok Sabha Constituency in Tamil Nadu under the PM Gati Shakti ? National Master Plan for multi-modal connectivity. Arani is well known for its traditional silk weaving industry, leather products, agriculture and small-scale enterprises. However, the region faces constraints due to inadequate logistics infrastructure, limited industrial corridors, and insufficient integration of road, rail and warehousing networks. These limitations affect the competitiveness of local industries and restrict employment generation for youth. Inclusion of Arani under PM Gati Shakti would enable: Integrated planning of road and rail connectivity to nearby industrial and export hubs. Development of logistics parks and warehousing facilities to support MSMEs and traditional silk clusters. Strengthening of supply chains for agro-based and textile industries. Improved infrastructure coordination among central and state agencies. Enhanced investment potential and balanced regional development. I therefore urge the Government to consider prioritizing infrastructure mapping and project implementation for Arani Parliamentary Constituency under PM Gati Shakti, so as to unlock its industrial potential and generate sustainable employment opportunities. This initiative will significantly contribute to inclusive economic growth and infrastructure modernization in the region.
