Need to set up a modern National E-Sports hub in New Delhi Parliamentary Constituency.-laid MS. BANSURI SWARAJ (NEW DELHI): I would like to draw the attention of the Government to a new frontier of rapidly growing field of E-sports. E-sports is not just about mobile games, rather a global sporting discipline recognized officially by our Government under National Sports Governance Act and the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act. Under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji, India has embraced the digital economy as a key pillar of Viksit Bharat. Our young athletes have already proven their mettle on international platforms like the Asian Games. However, to transform India into an elite competitive force in the international arena, we must back our talent with world-class infrastructure. India has one of the fastest-growing gaming communities, but lacks dedicated infrastructure and training facilities, limiting our ability to compete internationally. I request the Government to consider a State-of-the-Art National E-Sports Hub in New Delhi Parliamentary constituency which has unparalleled digital connectivity, central accessibility, and institutional ecosystem presenting the ideal location to anchor the digital sports revolution. The hub can provide high-performance training laboratories, dedicated residential dormitories, software infrastructure and libraries, and incubation spaces to foster homegrown game design. A formal, centralized training ground can capture grassroots talent, promote participation.
