Ajay Kumar, a 33-year-old scholar is pursuing his Ph.D. with the aspiration of achieving academic excellence, building a successful career and improving his socio-economic circumstances.
Before receiving assistance under the National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students
(NFSC) Scheme, Ajay faced financial constraints and difficulties in meeting educational expenses. His family had limited resources to support the costs associated with higher education, making it challenging to manage the financial requirements of doctoral studies while pursuing his academic goals.
The NFSC Scheme has provided Ajay with financial assistance to support his Ph.D. studies.
His fellowship assistance commenced in January 2024 and includes fellowship, House Rent Allowance (HRA) and contingency support. The reported amount of assistance availed is Rs 40,700.The support has helped address financial constraints, educational expenses and limitations in accessing the resources required for research. With this assistance, Ajay has been able to devote greater attention to his research and academic responsibilities, easing some of the financial pressure associated with pursuing doctoral studies.
Since receiving support under the scheme, Ajay reports improvements in his academic performance and his ability to focus on research. The assistance has also strengthened his confidence and improved his outlook towards future career opportunities. It has helped him continue working towards his long-term goal of completing his PhD and building a successful professional career.
Ajay Kumarโs experience highlights the importance of financial assistance in enabling scholars from financially constrained backgrounds to pursue advanced education. By helping reduce economic barriers, the NFSC Scheme supports students in continuing their academic journeys and working towards their aspirations in research and higher education.
His journey reflects how targeted educational support can help scholars remain focused on their studies, strengthen their confidence and move closer to their academic and professional goals. *** SS-134-TAR-KV-GA-RK (Release ID: 2324281)Visitor Counter : 211
