Ministry of Finance NLMC Holds Investor Meet in Visakhapatnam Ahead of RINL Land E-Auction Investor outreach programme to continue in Vijayawada and Hyderabad on September 24 and 25

(DPE), Ministry of Finance, Government of India, today organised an Investor Meet in Visakhapatnam to brief prospective bidders and stakeholders on the upcoming e-auction of 459 land parcels of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

Senior officials from NLMC and RINL were present at the Investor Meet, which was attended by prospective investors, developers and other stakeholders. The meeting provided an opportunity to share detailed information on the land portfolio, location and characteristics of the plots, the e-auction process, eligibility requirements, registration procedure, Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) and other applicable terms and conditions.The Investor Meet is part of NLMC’s investor outreach programme ahead of the e-auction, with the objective of facilitating wider dissemination of information and enabling prospective bidders to understand the portfolio and auction process. The outreach programme will continue with Investor Meets in Vijayawada on September 24, 2026, and Hyderabad on September 25, 2026.

The e-auction comprises 459 RINL land parcels aggregating 93,572.21 square yards, located at HB Colony, Maddilapalem and Auto Nagar, Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam. The individual plot sizes range from approximately 128.94 square yards to 2,728 square yards.

The portfolio includes 456 residential plots at HB Colony, covering approximately 87,949.77 square yards, and three plots at Auto Nagar, Gajuwaka, covering approximately 5,622.44 square yards. The plots are located in established areas of Visakhapatnam with access to existing road and civic infrastructure.At Auto Nagar, the portfolio includes a contiguous parcel of 2,728 square yards in Block 2, as well as two residential plots in Block 3 aggregating approximately 2,894.44 square yards. The Auto Nagar location has established commercial and industrial activity and connectivity to the wider city and surrounding areas.

Quikr India Pvt. Ltd. (QIPL) has been appointed as the Transaction Consultant for the e-auction process.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Rohan Chand Thakur, CEO, NLMC, said, “The Investor Meet in Visakhapatnam is an important part of our outreach ahead of the RINL land e-auction. Our objective is to ensure that prospective bidders have access to comprehensive information on the land parcels, the auction process and the applicable terms and conditions. With 459 plots covering over 93,500 square yards across established locations of Visakhapatnam, the portfolio offers a range of land parcels that prospective bidders can evaluate based on their requirements. NLMC is working closely with RINL to facilitate the monetisation process through a transparent and competitive e-auction mechanism.” Shri Ravi Chandra Babu R, General Manager (P&A) I/c RINL, said, “The land parcels being offered through the present e-auction are located in established areas of Visakhapatnam, including HB Colony, Maddilapalem and Auto Nagar. The Investor Meet has provided an opportunity to explain the portfolio and auction process directly to prospective bidders and address their queries. RINL will continue to extend the necessary support to NLMC for facilitating the structured and transparent monetisation of these non-core land assets.” The e-auction will be conducted through the RailTel E-Nivida e-Procurement Platform in two sessions.

Day 1 will be held on October 12, 2026, comprising 243 plots, with the auction scheduled from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The last date for registration and submission of EMD for Day 1 is October 8, 2026, up to 5:00 PM.

Day 2 will be held on October 16, 2026, comprising 216 plots, with the auction scheduled from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The last date for registration and submission of EMD for Day 2 is October 14, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) is ₹2 lakh per auction.The detailed auction documents, plot information, registration process and applicable terms and conditions are available on the official e-auction portal: https://eauction.enivida.com/ Following the Visakhapatnam Investor Meet, NLMC and RINL will hold further Investor Meets in Vijayawada on September 24 and Hyderabad on September 25, as part of the continued outreach to prospective bidders ahead of the October e-auction.
