New Delhi, the 10th April, 2026
S.O. 1823(E).— Whereas the President, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (a) of
clause (1) of article 80 of the Constitution of India read with clause (3) of that article, has nominated
Shri Harivansh to the Council of States to fill the vacancy caused due to the retirement of a nominated
member;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 71 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of
1951), the name of Shri Harivansh, nominated by the President, is hereby notified for general information.
