राज्यक्षेत्र की जर्धाि सभा के जिर्ााजचत सिस्ट्यों से यह अपेक्षा की ह ै दक 10 फरर्री, 2021 को श्री मीर मोहम्मि फयाज़
की पिार्जध के अर्साि पर उिकी सेर्ाजिर्ृजि के कारण राज्य सभा में हुई ररजक्त को भरिे के जलए िम्मू-कश्मीर संघ
राज्यक्षेत्र से उस सिि के जलए एक सिस्ट्य जिर्ााजचत कर िें;
अतः, अब उक्त अजधजियम की धारा 39 की उप-धारा (1) और धारा 56 के अिुसरण म ेंभारत जिर्ााचि आयोग एतद्द्वारा:
(अ) उक्त जिर्ााचि के संबंध में जिम्नजलजखत जिधााररत करता है-
(क) िाम जििेजित करिे की अजततम तारीख- 13 अक्तूबर, 2025 (सोमर्ार)
(ख) िाम जििेििों की संर्ीक्षा की तारीख - 14 अक्तूबर, 2025 (मगं लर्ार)
(ग) अभ्यर्थता ाएं र्ापस लिे े की अंजतम तारीख- 16 अक्तूबर, 2025 (गुरुर्ार)
(घ) र्ह तारीख, जिसको यदि आर्श्यक हुआ तो मतिाि होगा- 24 अक्तूबर, 2025 (िुक्रर्ार)
(ड.) र्ह तारीख जिससे पूर् ाजिर्ााचि सम्पन्न करा जलया िाएगा- 28 अक्तूबर, 2025 (मगं लर्ार), और

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 6th October, 2025
O.N. 46(E). — Whereas, the President of India has, by notification issued under Section 12 of the
Representation of the People Act, 1951(43 of 1951) and published in the Gazette of India on 06th October, 2025, been
pleased to call upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, to
elect one member to the Council of States to fill the vacancy in that House caused due to the retirement of Shri Mir
Mohammad Fayaz on 10th February, 2021 on the expiration of his term of office;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 39 and Section 56 of the said Act, the Election
Commission of India hereby-
(A) appoints, with respect to the said election;
(a) the 13th October, 2025 (Monday), as the last date for making nominations;
(b) the 14th October, 2025 (Tuesday), as the date for the scrutiny of the nominations;
(c) the 16th October, 2025 (Thursday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 24th October, 2025 (Friday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and
(e) the 28th October, 2025 (Tuesday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and
(B) fixes the hours from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm, as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken
on the date specified above for the election.
