NOTIFICATION
Mumbai, the 21st August, 2021
S.O. 4153(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of
Railways (Railway Board) (Published in the Gazette of India, under notification No. 1455 (A) of dated
06.04.2021 Extra Ordinary P II Section3 Subsection (II)) (here in after referred to as the said notification)
under subsection(I) of section 20A of the Railway Act 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said
Act) the Central Government declared its intention to acquired the land specified in the Schedule annexed
to the said notification for execution, maintenance, management and operation of the Special Railway
Project, namely, Surendranagar Rajkot doubling of Broad Gauge single line in District Rajkot in the State
of Gujarat.
And, whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily local newspaper
“Sandesh and Indian Express” dated 18.05.2021 under subsection (4) of section 20A of the said Act, and,
whereas, no objection has been received by the competent authority.
And, whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (I) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent
authority has submitted its report of the Central Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority, and in exercise of the
powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
Sub : Brief description of the land to be acquired with or without structure for the Special Railway Project
namely: Surendranagar - Rajkot doubling of Broad Gauge single line in the state of Gujarat as per joint
measurement sheet prepares by DILR Rajkot.
