Title and commencement: - 1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Fees for Application for Grant of License Rules, 2026". 2) They shall come into force from the date of publication in the Official Gazette of Karnataka. 2. Definitions: - 1) In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires; - (a) "Act" means the Electricity Act. 2003 (Central Act 36 of 2003); (b) "Section" means a Section of the Act: (2074)¨sÁUÀ 4J , , 21 , 2026 2075 2) Words and expressions used in these rules but not defined shall have the same meaning as assigned to them in the Electricity Act, 2003 (Central Act 36 of 2003). 3. Fees for making application for Grant of License: - (1) Every application for Grant of License under section 14 of the Act shall be accompanied by a fee of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only). (2) The fee shall be remitted through e-banking or online banking or demand draft drawn in favour of the Secretary, the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission, Bangalore.
