S.O. 2088(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 5, read with
sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Press Council Act, 1978 (37 of 1978), the Central Government hereby
notifies the nomination of Smt. Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, retired Judge of the Supreme Court of India,
as the Chairperson of the Press Council of India for a period of three years from the date of publication of
this notification in the Official Gazette.
