S.O. 2271(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of section 2 of the Right of
Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (35 of 2009), the Central Government being the
appropriate Government, in relation to a school established, owned or controlled by the Central Government
or the administrator of the Union territory, having no legislature, under the said Act, hereby notifies the
orphan children as a child belonging to disadvantaged group in relation to the Union territory of Andaman
and Nicobar Islands, Union territory of Chandigarh, Union territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman &
Diu and Union territory of Lakshadweep, for the purpose of that Act.
