NTPC Limited, Western Region-I Headquarters, Mumbai, handed over 19 healthcare vehicles to
the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Goa, under its Corporate Social Responsibility
(CSR) initiative to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve emergency medical services
across the State.
The vehicles were handed over in the presence of Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State for
New and Renewable Energy, Government of India; Shri Vishwajit Rane, Minister for Health,
Government of Goa; Ms. Vandana Chaturvedi, Regional Head (HR), NTPC Western Region-I; Dr.
Jai Prakash Tiwari, Dean, Goa Medical College; Dr. Rupa Naik, Director of Health Services,
Government of Goa; and senior officials of the Department of Health and the Goa CSR Authority.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik appreciated NTPC's contribution to nation-
building through its CSR initiatives. He thanked NTPC for supporting the healthcare sector in
Goa and said that strengthening healthcare infrastructure is essential for providing better
medical services to the people.
Shri Vishwajit Rane said that Goa, as a major tourist destination, requires a strong and efficient
healthcare system to serve both residents and visitors. He appreciated NTPC Western Region-I
for supporting the State Government in strengthening emergency medical services and
expressed confidence that the new vehicles would further improve healthcare delivery in the
State.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Vandana Chaturvedi, Regional Head (HR), NTPC Western Region-
I, said that NTPC remains committed to improving the quality of life of communities through its
CSR initiatives. She stated that healthcare continues to be one of the key focus areas of NTPC's
CSR efforts, along with education and sustainable livelihoods, and reaffirmed the company's
commitment to supporting initiatives that create a positive and lasting social impact.
