The Office of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India (Western Region), a functional wing of
the Office of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India, New Delhi, has commenced operations
from Mumbai with effect from 31 December 2025. The office was hitherto functioning from New
Delhi.
The Western Region office discharges a supervisory role over the audit functions of the State
Civil Audit Offices, namely, the offices of the Principal Accountant General/Accountant General
(Audit), located in the States of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Goa.
The office is headed by Ms Geetali Tare, IA&AS (1992), Additional Deputy Comptroller and
Auditor General (Western Region), and is assisted by Shri Sandeep Lall, IA&AS (1995), Director
General (Western Region), along with other officers and staff.
