On January 22, 2026, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducted an Open Market Operation (OMO) for the purchase of Government of India Securities. The aggregate amount notified was ₹50,000 crore, without security-wise notification. The total face value accepted by RBI was ₹13,620 crore for 7.10% GS 2029, ₹425 crore for 6.10% GS 2031, ₹10,717 crore for 7.57% GS 2033, ₹1,100 crore for 6.19% GS 2034, ₹19,960 crore for 6.67% GS 2035, ₹704 crore for 7.54% GS 2036 and ₹3,474 crore for 7.09% GS 2054. The cut-off yields and prices were 6.0572% and ₹103.01 for 7.10% GS 2029, 6.5715% and ₹97.86 for 6.10% GS 2031, 6.7678% and ₹104.60 for 7.57% GS 2033, 6.7731% and ₹96.22 for 6.19% GS 2034, 6.7613% and ₹99.34 for 6.67% GS 2035, 6.8099% and ₹105.34 for 7.54% GS 2036 and 7.3733% and ₹96.64 for 7.09% GS 2054.
