S.O. 1592(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of
1956), the Central Government hereby directs that the functions in relation to the execution of works pertaining to each
of the National Highways described in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be exercisable by the State
Government specified in column (3) of the Table against each highway subject to the condition that the State
Government concerned shall in the exercise of such functions be bound to comply with the rules for the time being in
force under the said Act and for that purpose makes the following further amendments in the notification of the
Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways (Department of Road
Transport and Highways) number S.O 1096(E), dated the 4th August, 2005, namely:-

की धारा 11 द्वारा प्रदत् त िजतिययक का प्रय ग करत े एए, भारत सरकार के सड़क पररवहन और राजमाग ग मंत्रालय की
अजधसूचना सं. का. आ. 3320(अ), ददनांदकत 13 अत िूबर, 2017 में एतदद्वारा जनम्न जलजखत संि धन करती ह, अथागत्:-
उतत अजधसूचना म,ें तजमलनाडु राज्य के संदभग में जनम्न जलजखत प्रजवजटिययक का जवल पन दकया जाएगा:-

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 4th March, 2022
S.O. 1593(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 of the National Highways Authority of
India Act, 1988 (68 of 1988), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of
the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways number S.O.3320(E), dated the
13th October, 2017, namely:-
In the said notification, the following entries in respect of the State of Tamil Nadu, shall be omitted:-
―new National Highway No. 179A (The highway starting from its junction with NH No. 79 near
Salem connecting Ayothiapattinam, Pappireddipatti, Harur, Uthangarai, Thirupathur and terminating its
junction with NH-48 near Vaniyambadi in the state of Tamil Nadu)‖In the said notification, for the following
entries:-
―new National Highway No. 136 (The highway starting from its junction with NH-36 near Thanjavur
connecting Thiruvaiyaru, Kunnam, Pereli, Perambalur bypass Naduvalur, Thodavur, Krishnapuram,
Veepanthattai and terminating its junction NH 79 at Athoor bypass in the state of Tamil Nadu)‖[भाग II—खण् ड 3(ii)] भारत का राजपत्र : असाधारण 5
The following entries shall be substituted:-
