Will the Minister of PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has planned to purchase land near Oil and Natural Gas
Corporation (ONGC) Hazira plant for future expansion and setting up of additional
facilities mainly for security reasons from Gujarat Industrial Development
Corporation (GIDC) and private landowners;
(b) if so, the details of land purchased till now and if not, the reasons therefor;
(c) whether the Government is aware that GIDC has proposed to develop a textile park on
the same land;
(d) if so, whether ONGC has assessed the security impact likely to arise due to such
development; and
(e) whether ONGC has any plan to acquire land for future expansion and if so, the details
thereof?
