AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF NCS PORTAL

Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the aims and objectives of National Career Service
(NCS) Portal;
(b) whether the NCS portal integrated with State employment
exchanges of the State of Andhra Pradesh and if so, the details
thereof;
(c) the details of career counselling and vocational guidance services
provided by NCS to unemployed youth in Andhra Pradesh;
(d) the details of job fairs organized, candidate shortlisted and got
employment in Andhra Pradesh during the last three years and the
current year, year-wise; and
(e) the details of the review and evaluation of all the schemes and
programmes by the Government and ensure new job opportunities
during the 15th Finance Commission cycle upto March, 2026?

(a) to (e): The National Career Service (NCS) Portal is a one-stop
solution for providing career related services including jobs from private
and government sectors, information on online & offline job fairs, job
search & matching, career counselling, vocational guidance, information
on skill development courses, skill/training programmes etc. through a
digital platform [www.ncs.gov.in] to all stakeholders across the country.
The NCS project aims to provide seamless access to jobseekers and
employers, decent employment opportunities to the aspiring youth of the
country and to facilitate career development assistance.
NCS Portal provides online/offline career counselling and
vocational guidance services to its registered users. More than 1182
Career Counsellors have been on boarded on NCS portal. Till date more
than 55 Lakh online/ offline career guidance sessions have been
conducted nationwide, of which more than 3.46 Lakh sessions have been
held in Andhra Pradesh.As on 20.01.2026, a total of 450, 934, 1108 and 951 job fairs were
organized in the State of Andhra Pradesh during the financial years 2022-
23, 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26 respectively and more than 11 lakh
vacancies were mobilized through these job fairs.
To enhance the employability, digital and career skills of
jobseekers and to empower & equip youth with an array of essential
employable skills, NCS Portal inter-alia offers online employability
enhancement programmes, digital skill enhancement programmes and
self-placed career skill programme.
As on date, 30 States/UTs (including Andhra Pradesh) have been
integrated with the NCS portal including 7 States/UTs which are directly
using NCS Portal.
Further, Ministry has signed several MoUs with the private and
public employers/ portals/Platforms to strengthen public-private
partnerships for enhancing employment opportunities for all jobseekers.
Till date more than 35 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have
been signed including MoUs with private partners such as APNA, Swiggy,
Rapido, Zomato, Amazon, TCS iON, Quikr, FoundIt (Monster) etc. offering
facilities such as job fairs listing, skill development programmes, career
counselling etc. available on the NCS Portal.
The Government undertakes a systematic review and evaluation of
all schemes and programmes before the commencement of each
Finance Commission cycle to ensure their continued relevance,
effectiveness, and alignment with evolving priorities.
