GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF AYUSH LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 3258 ANSWERED ON 07/08/2026 ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF AYURVEDA †3258. SHRI SUDHAKAR SINGH Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state:- (a) whether the Government is aware that the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi is a premier National Institute for Ayurvedic medicine, education, research and super- speciality healthcare services, whereas no institute of such stature is available in the State of Bihar, if so, the details thereof; (b) whether the Government proposes to establish an All India Institute of Ayurveda in Bihar on the lines of the AIIA, New Delhi; (c) if so, the current status, proposed location, sanctioned cost and the construction timeline therefor and if not, the reasons therefor; and (d) the details of the action plan of the Government to expand advanced facilities such as Ayurvedic medicine, higher education, research and panchakarma in Bihar? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) to (d) At present no such proposal is under consideration. However, in pursuance of the announcement made in the recent Union Budget regarding the establishment of three new AIIA institutes, two committees—namely, the Selection Committee and the Project Core Committee (PCC)—have been constituted by the Ministry of Ayush for the purpose of site selection under the Challenge Method. Accordingly, necessary action has been initiated in line with the Budget announcement. *****
