Control Board/Committees under the component of Control of Pollution, year and State-

(a) to (c) National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) launched by Ministry of Environment, Forest
and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) in January, 2019 aims to improve air quality in 130 cities (non-
attainment cities and Million-Plus Cities) in 24 States/UTs. NCAP is multi-sectoral initiative
involving the coordinated efforts of the Central and State Governments, Urban Local Bodies
(ULBs), and other stakeholders. It emphasizes source-specific mitigation measures through city,
state, and national-level clean air action plans.
Under the National Clean Air Programme, an amount of ₹13,415.43 crore has been released to 130
cities across 24 SPCBs/PCCs. The state-wise details of allocation and release is at Annexure-I
13 cities of Andhra Pradesh State are covered under the NCAP for taking air quality improvement
measures in respective cities. So far, an amount of Rs. 734.86 crore has been allocated and
Rs.407.25 crore has been provided to Municipal Corporations of 13 cities of Andhra Pradesh for
implementation of city action plans for improving air quality.In comparison to the base line year 2017–18, 10 cities of Andhra Pradesh have shown progress in
the year 2024-25, in reducing PM10 concentrations. The details are at Annexure-II.
