**Summary:**
This document addresses Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 4372, concerning the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI)'s use of equivalency/analogy of posts from Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) and Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) banks for determining deputation eligibility. Specifically, the question pertains to the relevance of this equivalency following the PSU bank wage revision implemented on November 1, 2022. The query also questions if UIDAI's Independent Business Unit (IBD) is still using this outdated equivalency despite the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) not defining pay scale equivalency across different organizational pay structures. Finally, it asks why the comparison has not been removed or updated on the UIDAI website and when this is expected.
The Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology clarifies that UIDAI issued an Office Memorandum on December 12, 2022, outlining the analogous scale/grade of PSEs and PSU banks for assessing the eligibility of candidates for appointment to vacant posts in UIDAI on deputation under Foreign Service Terms. The memorandum states that in the event of a pay revision in PSEs or PSU banks, the revised corresponding scale may be considered for determining eligibility for deputation.
