Will the Minister of Women and Child Development be pleased to state:

(a) the number of Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) that functioned for at least 80% of working days, State and year-wise;

(b) the number of AWCs that functioned for less than 20% of working days in the same period, State-wise;

(c) the number of completed and functional AWCs out of the 2 lakh AWCs sanctioned for upgradation to Saksham Anganwadis, State-wise;

(d) the amount of funds allocated and released for upgradation to Saksham Anganwadis, State-wise; and

(e) the number of AWCs that currently have access to piped drinking water, gender segregated functioning toilets, functional kitchen sheds and electricity connections? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT (SHRIMATI SAVITRI THAKUR)

(a) & (b) State/UT-wise numbers of Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) that functioned for at least 80% of working days and for less than 20% of working days as on June, 2024 and June, 2025 as per Poshan Tracker data are at Annexure I.

(c) & (d) Number of AWCs approved for upgradation into Saksham AWCs and number of AWCs upgraded along with allocation and release for the same are at Annexure II.

(e) As per Poshan tracker report for the Month of June, 2025, 12,71,520 AWCs have Drinking Water facility, 8,39,856 AWCs have piped water connection, 10,60,429 AWCs have functional toilet, 9,32,777 AWCs have functional kitchen and 8,98,626 AWCs have permanent electricity connection.
