Shri Jashubhai Bhilubhai Rathva: Shri Shankar Lalwani: Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state: (a) the details of the operational criteria deployed to regulate assistance rates for different income brackets under the Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids and Appliances (ADIP) scheme; (b) the details of the dashboard data reflecting changes in baseline living indicators for beneficiaries receiving advanced assistive devices; and (c) the details of the extent to Niramaya Health Insurance scheme covers functional for targeted individuals with developmental disabilities? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT (SHRI B. L. VERMA) (a): Under the ADIP Scheme, the amount of assistance provided to a beneficiary is determined on the basis of the monthly family income. Under the ADIP Scheme, Aids/appliances costing upto Rs.15,000/- are covered with exception of some aids and appliances like High-end- Prosthesis for which subsidy is up to Rs.30,000/- and up to Rs.50,000/- for a motorized tricycle and motorized wheelchair. The amount of assistance on the basis of income subject to maximum subsidy limit is as follows:- Total Income Amount of Assistance (i) Upto Rs. 22,500/- per month Full cost of aid/appliance (ii) Rs.22,501/- to Rs. 30,000/- per month 50% of the cost of aid/appliance 1(b): Beneficiary-related data and information on the distribution of assistive devices under the ADIP Scheme are monitored through the ARJUN Portal. (c): The Niramaya Health Insurance Scheme covers disabilities as per National Trust Act, 1999 vis a vis Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual disability and Multiple Disabilities. The insurance cover is Rs.1 Lakh per annum which is divided as per following benefit chart:- SECTION SUB- DETAIL SUB OVER ALL SECTION LIMIT LIMIT OF SECTION I Over all Limit of Hospitalization 55,000/- A Corrective Surgeries for existing Disability 40,000/- including congenital disability (Under SECI(A)a maximum capping of Rs.15000/-For other than the corrective surgeries for Existing Disabilities, which is include in the overall limit of Rs.40,000/- of Sec I(A)) B Non- Surgical/ Hospitalization 15,000/- II Overall Limit for Out-Patient Department (OPD) 19,000/- A OPD treatment including the medicines, 15,000/- pathology, diagnostic tests, etc. B Dental Preventive Dentistry 4,000/- III Ongoing Therapies to reduce impact of disability and disability, 20,000/- disability and disability related complications IV Alternative Medicine-AYUSH 4,000/- V Transportation costs 2,000/- OVERALL LIMIT OF THE COVERAGE FOR A PERSON: Rs.1,00,000/- ***** 2
