MANNA LAL RAWAT: Will the Minister of PLANNING be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government proposes to set up Atal Community Innovation Centres (ACICs) under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) to promote the benefits of technology-led innovation across the underserved regions including Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, aspirational districts, tribal hilly and coastal areas of the country; (b) the details of the number of ACICs presently operational in Rajasthan; (c) the details of procedure and provisions for opening new ACICs; (d) whether the Government proposes to open such centres across the various districts of Udaipur division in Rajasthan; and (e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) OF THE MINISTRY OF STATISTICS AND PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION; MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) OF THE MINISTRY OF PLANNING AND MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE (RAO INDERJIT SINGH) (a) Yes Sir. The Government proposes to set up 50 ACICs in various parts of the country, including T2, T3 cities, Aspirational Districts, tribal hilly & coastal areas. Page 1 of 2(b) One ACIC is presently operational in Rajasthan at Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur. (c) The procedure and provisions for opening new ACICs is available in public domain at https://aim.gov.in/acic.php. (d) & (e) As of now, 50 ACICs have already been selected.
