Availability of AYUSH Services in Rajasthan
2257. Shri Rahul Kaswan:
Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has assessed the availability of AYUSH facilities and
practitioners in Rajasthan and if so, the details thereof;
(b) the details of AYUSH hospitals, dispensaries and wellness centres functioning in
Rajasthan along with the number of doctors and AYUSH practitioners available therein;
(c) the details of funds sanctioned, released and utilised for strengthening AYUSH
infrastructure and services in Rajasthan;
(d) the current status of the AYUSH Hospital established in Churu district including the
number of patients treated, the number of doctors and staff deployed; and
(e) the steps taken/proposed to be taken by the Government to improve AYUSH services and
further strengthen AYUSH healthcare infrastructure in Rajasthan, particularly in Churu
district?
ANSWER

(a) & (b) Public Health being a State Subject, the primary responsibility to assess the
availability of Ayush facilities, maintaining record of available Doctors & Ayush
practitioners, in the State of Rajasthan, lies with respective State Government. As reported by
the State Government of Rajasthan, 3788 Ayush Hospitals/Dispensaries are functional under
Ayurveda Department and 3901 Ayurveda Medical officer are deployed there for providing
services. Under Homoeopathy Department, 575 Hospitals/Dispensaries are functional with
582 Homoeopathy Medical officers working in these units. Similarly, under Unani
Department, 468 Hospitals/Dispensaries are functional with 307 Unani Medical officers.
(c) A total amount of Rs. 51,051.26 lakhs has been released as central share to the State
Government of Rajasthan under NAM from 2014-15 to 2025-26, for implementation of
various approved activities of State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs) including strengthening of
Ayush infrastructure and services in the State. As reported by the State Government, an
amount of Rs. 45,329.16 lakhs has been spent, Rs. 5421.93 lakhs have been refunded & Rs.
300.17 lakhs are balance amount lying pending with State Ayush Society.
1(d) & (e) Further, as reported by the State Government of Rajasthan, 118 Ayush
Hospitals/Dispensaries are functional in the Churu District under Ayurveda Department and
107 Ayurveda Medical officer, 108 Nursing staff/Compounder & 46 Hospital Attendants are
deployed at these units. Total patient footfall of 5,17,454 including 1599 IPD & 5,15,855
OPD, was observed during FY 2025-26 at these units. Under Homoeopathy Department, 16
Hospitals/Dispensaries are functional in the Churu District and 15 Homoeopathy Medical
officer, 12 Nursing staff/Compounder & 1 Hospital Attendants are deployed at these units. In
total 1,27,619 patients benefited during April 2026 to June 2026 at these units. Similarly,
under Unani Department, 13 Hospitals/Dispensaries are functional in the Churu District and 9
Unani Medical officer & 6 Nursing staff/Compounder/Hospital Attendants are deployed at
these units. In total 37,486 patients benefited during FY 2025-26 at these units.
