5603. THIRU ARUN NEHRU:
Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILYWELFARE be pleasedtostate:
(a)the detailsof the undergraduate andpostgraduate medical seats inGovernment and
private medical collegesinthe countryduring the last five years, State/UT-wise along with the
current numberof seats available tostudents from Tamil Nadu, district-wise;
(b) whether anyrepresentationshave beenreceivedbythe Government regarding
irregularities, delaysor denial of benefitsundercentrallysponsored healthschemessuch as
Ayushman Bharat–PMJAY, PMSSYandNational HealthMission inrespect of beneficiariesor
institutions locatedin the PerambalurLokSabhaConstituency; and
(c)if so, the nature of such complaints, the actiontakenthereon,andwhether anyaudit,
enquiryor correctivemeasures have beeninitiatedbythe Government toensure transparent and
effective implementationof these schemesinthe said Constituency,if so, the detailsthereof?

(UG) andPost-Graduate (PG)Seatsacross the countryduring the last five (05) yearisasunder:

The State/UT-wise detailof UG andPGSeats for the last five yearsare at Annexure.(b) & (c) As informed by the Government of Tamil Nadu, no grievance regarding irregularities,
delay, or denial of benefits under centrally sponsored health schemes, including Ayushman
Bharat–PMJAY and the National Health Mission, have been reported for beneficiaries in the
PerambalurLokSabha Constituency.
However, as per guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from time to
time, empanelled hospitals are required to provide treatment to eligible beneficiaries for the
specialities for which they are empanelled. Any denial of treatment may attract appropriate
action, including de-empanelment, in accordance with extant provisions. Beneficiaries may
lodge grievancesthrough the Central Grievance Redressal Management System(CGRMS) portal
or via the National Call Centre helpline 14555. Grievances are addressed through the prescribed
three-tierredressal machanism.
