Will the Minister of WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the number of Anganwadi centres functioning under Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan
Mission in Uttar Pradesh;
(b) whether new Anganwadi centre has not been opened in Uttar Pradesh during the last five
years;
(c) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; and
(d) the number of Anganwadi centres functioning in Muradabad and Bijnor districts of Uttar
Pradesh along with details of new Anganwadi centres set up in the last five years?

(a) to (d) As per the Poshan Tracker data, as on June, 2025, a total of 1,89,373 Anganwadi Centres
(AWCs) are operational in the State of Uttar Pradesh. During F.Y. 2023-24, under PM JANMAN
one new Aanganwadi Centre has been sanctioned for Bijnor District. The number of AWCs
operational in Muradabad and Bijnor districts of Uttar Pradesh are as under:
