Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state:
(a) the number of districts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh identified so far for setting up AYUSH medical centres in rural areas of the country, State/UT-wise;
(b) whether the Government has launched any special recruitment drive for the appointment of trained AYUSH doctors in the said centres;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the number of centres currently functional and out of the said centres, the number of providing Tele-AYUSH services in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, district-wise ? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV)
(a) to (c) Public Health being a State subject, identification of districts in the country including Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh for setting up Ayush Medical Centres in rural areas comes under purview of respective State/UT Governments. However, under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National Ayush Mission (NAM), as per the proposals received from Stats/UTs including Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, 12500 Ayush Health Wellness Centres now known as Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush) [AAM (Ayush)] have been supported for operationalization in different parts of the country including rural areas. The State/UT- wise number of districts as supported for AAM (Ayush) is being furnished as Annexure-I. As public health is a State subject, the appointment of trained Ayush doctors in the AAM (Ayush) comes under the purview of respective State/UT Governments.
(d) As reported by the State Government, a total of 390 & 800 AAM (Ayush) are functioning in the State of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh respectively and Tele-AYUSH services are
provided as per the requirement.
