Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state:
(a) whether there is a need to strengthen the services of Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy in the Hisar Lok Sabha Constituency of Haryana;
(b) whether any special scheme has been launched by the Government to increase the number of AYUSH health and wellness centres, doctors and improve in medicine supply in the region and if so, the details there of;
(c) whether any new projects have been approved to promote traditional systems of medicine, expand yoga centres, cultivate medicinal plants and encourage public awareness programmes in Hisar district; and
(d) if so, the details there of along with the status of implementation of the said schemes, the population benefited and prospective measures to be taken to expand AYUSH services in the area? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV)
(a) As reported by the State Government, currently Ayush services are being provided through 80 Ayurveda, 10 Homoeopathy, 70 Yoga institutions in Hisar district. Further, State may avail financial assistance for strengthening of Ayush infrastructure in the Lok Sabha Constituency as per the felt need by submitting suitable proposal through State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs) under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National Ayush Mission
(NAM).
(b) Ministry of Ayush has launched NAM in the year 2014 for implementation through States/UTs. Under NAM, 538 Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush) [erstwhile known as Ayush Health & wellness Centres] including 41 in Hisar district, have been approved for operationalization by providing financial support for strengthening of existing infrastructure & supply of Medicine. As reported by the State, all 41 units are operational and providing health care services to the community through different Ayush interventions including Yoga 1& outreach activities. Further, as appraised by the State, during 2025-26, 572 Ayush Medical Officers (including 37 AMOs in Hisar) are recruited in the Haryana State.
(c) and (d) One 50 bedded Integrated Ayush Hospital has been approved at Mayyer village in Hisar District under NAM to provide Ayush health care services in the region. As appraised by the State, the said Hospital has been made functional. The total numbers of beneficiaries
(OPD) from April 2025 to October 2025 are 1,53,116 (including 50 bedded IAH) in the Hisar District. In addition, community level awareness camps are being organised for public awareness. ***** 2
