As a central sector scheme, funds are disbursed directly by lending institutions; no funds are released to state/UT governments or districts.
**Smart City and Urban Transport Projects:** The Smart Cities Mission concluded on March 31, 2025. Under the PM eBus Sewa Scheme, 400 ebuses have been sanctioned for the State of Odisha, with 100 specifically for Cuttack. The first tranche of ₹47.72 Crore has been released to Odisha, including ₹10.52 Crore for Cuttack, to support associated infrastructure development.

Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased
to state:
(a) the number of beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-
Urban (PMAY-U) and PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM
SVANidhi) scheme in Cuttack city and other urban areas of
Cuttack district;
(b) the total allocation and utilisation of funds under these
schemes in the said district; and
(c) whether the Government is planning any Smart City
components or urban transport projects specifically for Cuttack
and if so, the details thereof?

(b) The Central Government approves the State Plans and provides
the Central Assistance (CA) to the States. The projects are
selected, designed, approved and executed by the States/UTs
and the cities. The State Governments release funds to the
cities/districts. Further, PM SVANidhi is a Central Sector Scheme.
Loans are disbursed by the Lending Institutions under the
scheme and no fund is released to the State
Governments/UTs/Districts.
(c) Smart Cities Mission has ended on 31.03.2025. Under the PM-
eBus Sewa Scheme, 400 e-buses have been sanctioned for the
State of Odisha including 100 e-buses for Cuttack and 1st
Tranche of Rs. 47.72 Cr. have been released to Odisha including
Rs. 10.52 Cr for Cuttack for the development of associated
infrastructure.
