state:
(a) the number of beneficiaries benefitted under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada
Yojana (PMMSY) in Madhya Pradesh, district-wise including Lok Sabha Constituency,
Damoh;
(b) whether the Government proposes to introduce Matsya Credit Card like Kisan Credit
Card; and
(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) with an investment of
Rs.20,050 crore has been implemented with effect from the financial year 2020-21 for
development of fisheries in all the States/Union Territories including Madhya Pradesh. As
reported by Government of Madhya Pradesh, the district wise details of beneficiaries covered
under the said scheme including Lok Sabha Constituency, Damoh is at Annexure.
(b) and (c): In the year 2018-19, Government of India extended the facility of the Kisan
Credit Card (KCC) to the fish farmers and fishers for their working capital requirements. The
eligible beneficiaries are Fishers, Fish Farmers (individual & groups/ partners/ sharecroppers/
tenant farmers), Self Help Groups, Joint Liability Groups and women groups, etc. In the
Union Budget 2025-26, the Government of India has enhanced the Kisan Credit Card (KCC)
lending limit for the fisheries & allied activities from ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh to enhance credit
accessibility for fishers, farmers, processors and other fisheries’ stakeholder under the
Modified Interest Subvention Scheme. As such, presently there is no proposal to introduce
Matsya Credit Card like Kisan Credit Cards.
