2572. Dr. Kadiyam Kavya:
Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has considered blockchain-based digital land records for smallholder farmers in Warangal to ensure transparent access to agricultural subsidies;
(b) if so, the details of pilot projects planned for Telangana, district-wise; and
(c) the timeline for scaling such technology to prevent fraud in subsidy distribution in rural areas? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT (DR. CHANDRA SEKHAR PEMMASANI)
(a) & (b) The Department of Land Resources is implementing the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) with effect from 1st April, 2016 as a Central Sector Scheme with 100% funding from Government of India. Blockchain-based digital land records are not being implemented under DILRMP in the country including Warangal.
