Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to
state:
(a) whether it is a fact that very low/limited budget allocation has been
made under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban
Transformation (AMRUT) for providing basic urban infrastructure such
as drinking water, sewerage, parks, roads and LED street lighting in
the Jhunjhunu Lok Sabha Constituency of Rajasthan during the last
ten years and if so, the reasons therefor;
(b) the details of the budget allocated under the said mission for the said
Constituency so far, location-wise; and
(c) the details of the works completed along with the work pending for
completion during the said period, year-wise?

(a) to (c): Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation
(AMRUT) was launched on 25 June 2015 in selected 500 cities (485 cities
including 15 merged cities) and towns across the country. The Mission
focuses on development of basic infrastructure, in the selected cities and
towns, in the sectors of water supply; sewerage and septage
management; storm water drainage; green spaces and parks; and non-
motorized urban transport.
Under AMRUT, central funds are allocated/ released to States/ Union
Territories (UTs) and not to the cities/ ULBs. Under AMRUT, the approved
plan size of the State of Rajasthan is ₹3,223.94 crore including committed
Central Share of ₹1,541.95 crore, of which, ₹1,511.23 crore has been
released to the State Government.

Under AMRUT, States/ Union Territories (UTs) have been
empowered to select, appraise, prioritize and implement projects. State
Level Technical Committee (SLTC) headed by the Secretary, Urban
Development & Housing Department provides technical support to the

Secretary of the State, to approve, monitor and supervise the
