Parliament Question: Cancer Treatment Facilities at AIIMS

Will the Ministerof HEALTH AND FAMILYWELFAREbe pleasedtostate:-

(a) the details of All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) that have functional cancertreatment facilitiesandare currentlyoperational;

(b) the total number of Government hospitals that have cancer care facilities in the country, State-wise;and

(c) the total number of registered oncologists, radiologists, pathologists and nurses in all cancercare hospitals across the country,asof 31st October, 2025? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATE IN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (SHRIPRATAPRAO JADHAV)

(a): Cancer treatment facilities are functional in All India Institute of Medical Sciences

(AIIMS) Delhi and 18 AIIMS set up under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana

(PMSSY).

(b) & (c): Public Health is a State subject. However, to enhance the facilities for tertiary care of cancer, under the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases, financial assistance is provided to States and Union Territories for setting up of State Cancer Institutes (SCIs) and Tertiary Care Cancer Centres (TCCCs). Till date, 39 Institutions (19 SCIand20TCCC) have been approvedunderthe scheme.
