ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION (SHRI JAYANT CHAUDHARY) (a): Cumulatively 42459 and 14727 number of schools (*) are offering regional languages in secondary and Higher-secondary schools respectively. State-wise details of number of CBSE affiliated schools offering regional languages at secondary and senior-secondary levels are enclosed at Annexure-A & Annexure-B respectively. (b): State-wise and language-wise details of regional language teachers in CBSE affiliated schools in secondary and senior-secondary level are enclosed at Annexure-C & Annexure-D respectively. * There are schools which are offering more than one regional language and hence, the count is as per schools multiplied by number of regional languages. *****
