**Summary:**
In response to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 401, addressed on July 22, 2025, regarding the establishment of a Centre of Excellence for Animal Husbandry (CEAH) in Andhra Pradesh, the Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, stated that the government does not have plans to establish a CEAH in Andhra Pradesh. However, under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission, a Gokul Gram for the Ongole Breed has been established at Chadalawada, Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, serving as an integrated cattle development center for the development and conservation of indigenous bovine breeds. Furthermore, a National Kamdhenu Breeding Center (NKBC) for the Southern Region has been established at Chintaladevi, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, also under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission, to serve as a repository of germplasm of Indigenous Bovine Breeds and to promote the development and conservation of indigenous breeds. Given the absence of a CEAH, questions regarding funding and collaboration with startups, private agencies, or academic institutions are not applicable.

Husbandry (CEAH) in the State of Andhra Pradesh;
(b) if so, the details thereof and also the objectives and expected outcomes and if not, the
reasons therefor;
(c) whether funds have been allocated for this initiative;
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;
(e) whether the Government has shortlisted any start-ups, private agencies, or academic
institutions for collaboration; and
(f) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b) No, Sir. However, under Rashtriya Gokul Mission one Gokul Gram for Ongole
Breed has been established as an integrated cattle development centre for development and
conservation of indigenous bovine breeds at Chadalawada, Prakasam district of Andhra
Pradesh.
Further, under Rashtriya Gokul Mission, one National Kamdhenu Breeding Center (NKBC)
has been established for Southern Region at Chintaladevi, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh as
repository of germplasm of Indigenous Bovine Breeds and to take up development and
conservation of indigenous breeds in scientific and holistic manner.
