Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS

be pleased to state:
(a) the total funds sanctioned and released to Andhra Pradesh under
the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund from Financial Year 2019-
20 to Financial Year 2025-26 along with a purpose-wise breakup for
roads, bridges and Road Over Bridges/Road Under Bridges;
(b) the status of Central Road and Infrastructure Fund proposals
submitted by Andhra Pradesh for State Highways and Major District
Roads since June, 2024 including pending and approved projects;
(c) whether Government has assessed regional disparities in road
connectivity in Andhra Pradesh and made any dedicated National
Highway allocations for Rayalaseema region especially in YSR
Kadapa District, if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the number of fatalities on National Highways in Andhra Pradesh
during Financial Year 2024-25 and the status and funding of the
black spot rectification programme during the last two years?

(a) Government considers sanctioning of projects under Central
Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) in two schemes i.e., CRIF
(State Roads) and CRIF (Setu Bandhan). The details of funds
sanctioned & released under these two schemes from the Financial
Year (FY) 2019- 20 to 2025-26 for the State of Andhra Pradesh is at
Annexure - А.
(b) State Government submits priority list of projects under CRIF
for consideration from time to time. Government considers approval
of list of projects from the priority list submitted by StateGovernment based on Bank of Sanction & CRIF guidelines. State
government has submitted 20 no of proposals having length of 299.2
km amounting to Rs.694.85 crore which have been approved since
June, 2024.
(c) The allocation of funds for development of National Highways
is allocated State-wise but not region-wise. However, for
Rayalaseema region 94 No of projects having length of 2572 Km
amounting to Rs. 36,682 crore have been completed and 39 No of
projects having length of 1013 Km amounting to Rs.17,509 crore are
under implementation.
(d) There are 3286 number of fatalities on National Highways in
Andhra Pradesh during Financial Year 2024-25. Road safety/
Blackspot rectification works are accorded high priority, and
appropriate road safety interventions are incorporated and
executed as part of all ongoing National Highway development and
Maintenance works in accordance with the prescribed standards
and project requirements. However, separate funding for road safety
interventions is not allocated, as these interventions are
incorporated within the scope of ongoing development and
maintenance works on National Highways.
During last 2 years, 240 Black spots were rectified with short
term measures and 43 Black spots were rectified with long term
measures.Annexure - A
