Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Central Sanskrit University, Vedvyas Campus in Himachal Pradesh is
offering open courses as well as regular courses for wider participation of students in
addition to the regular programmes, if so, the details thereof;
(b) the details of various courses currently offered by the said campus, including diploma,
degree and research-level programmes;
(c) the status of establishment of its permanent campus in the said State along with the
timelines fixed for its completion; and
(d) whether the said University has faced any problems/challenges with regard to land
allocation, infrastructure or coordination from the State Government, if so, the details
thereof along with the steps being taken by the Government to address the same?

(a) & (b): Central Sanskrit University, Delhi is offering Regular as well as Open and
Distance Learning courses through online mode. The University has more than 5,000
students learning Sanskrit and Indian Knowledge System (IKS) through open/distance
learning courses. However, no open/distance courses are being conducted in the Vedvyas
Campus, Balahar, Himachal Pradesh. The courses offered in the Vedvyas campus is as
under.
