Parliament Question: Centrally Sponsored Scheme Funds for Maharashtra

70. Shri Anup Sanjay Dhotre:

Will the Minister of Finance be pleased to state:

(a) the details of funds disbursed to the State of Maharashtra for implementing Centrally sponsored schemes during the last five year;

(b) whether the State has contributed matching components for the implementation of these schemes during the last five years;

(c) if so, the details thereof along with the amount of funds contributed by the State Government during the same period, year-wise;

(d) whether the State Government of Maharashtra has submitted the utilization certificates for the funds utilized under the schemes during same period; and

(e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefore, year-wise? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE (SHRI PANKAJ CHAUDHARY)

(a) The detail of funds disbursed to the State Government of Maharashtra for implementing Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) during the last five years is given in Annexure-I.

(b) to (c) Yes. The amount contributed by the State Government of Maharashtra during the last five years for implementation of CSS is given in Annexure-II.(d) to (e) As per instructions of the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, dated 23rd March 2021, Central share of funds are released by nodal Ministries/Departments only after utilisation of 75% of both the Central share released earlier and its commensurate State share.
