Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has taken any cognizance of the challenges faced by Micro and Small
Enterprises and Handicraft Industries in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan such as lack of access to modern
technology, credit and markets linkages which impact their growth and competitiveness;
(b) if so, the details of the progress under Prime Minister Formalization of Micro Food Processing
Enterprises (PMFME) scheme, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) assistance programmes
and credit facility schemes in the district; and
(c) if so, the reasons for giving inadequate support to local industries and artisans, if not, the
reasons therefor?

(a) and (b): (i) As per Udyam Portal, 40,80,462 MSMEs are registered in Rajasthan. The Central
Government supplements the efforts of the States/UTs through various schemes, programmes and policy
initiatives, for promotion and development of MSMEs in the country including Bharatpur district of
Rajasthan. These schematic interventions helped in addressing various challenges faced by MSMEs.
(ii) Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is implementing a centrally sponsored "PM
Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme" for providing financial,
technical and business support for setting up of new/ upgradation of micro food processing enterprises in
the country. The scheme is operational from 2020-21 to 2025-26 with an outlay of Rs. 10,000 Crore.
The PMFME scheme is designed to address the challenges faced by the micro enterprises. The
scheme provides support of credit-linked grant of 35% of the eligible project cost, seed capital of up to
Rs. 40,000, capacity building for beneficiaries, and handholding support for the formalization of units.
The progress of PMFME Scheme in Bharatpur district :
i Credit Linked Subsidy: 57 loans sanctioned with approved subsidy of Rs. 2.58 cr.
ii Seed capital: 88 SHG members approved for Rs. 0.24 Cr.
iii Capacity Building: 1 District Resource Person (DRP) and 11 beneficiaries trained: 2 :
(iii) Credit Guarantee Scheme for Micro and Small Enterprises:
Credit Guarantee Scheme for Micro and Small Enterprises is implemented through Credit Guarantee
Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises to provide credit guarantees to its Member Lending
Institutions for the credit facilities upto Rs. 10 crore (w.e.f 01.04.2025) extended by Member Lending
Institutions to MSEs across the country, including Bharatpur District.

(iv) Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) is a credit linked subsidy
programme aimed at generating self-employment opportunities through establishment of micro-
enterprises in the non-farm sector by helping traditional artisans and rural/urban unemployed youths
through Margin Money subsidy. For beneficiaries belonging to special categories, such as Scheduled
Castes, Scheduled Tribes, women, etc. Margin Money subsidy is 35% in rural areas and 25% in urban
areas.
Year-wise number of micro enterprises assisted, Margin Money subsidy disbursed, estimated
employment generated under PMEGP for last 5 years, i.e., FY 2020-21 to 2024-25 and the current
financial year (up to 26.11.2025) in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan are as under :

(c): In Bharatpur district of Rajasthan for supporting local industries and artisans, one cluster has
been approved under the SFURTI Scheme with a committed GoI assistance of Rs. 435.12 lakhs. It is
proposed to benefit 670 artisans and is currently functional, providing support to local artisans.
