Parliament Question: Closure of Post Offices

ADOOR PRAKASH: Will the Minister of COMMUNICATIONS be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has decided to cut down the number of Post Offices in many States including Kerala and if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; (b) the details of the number of post offices closed and identified for closure so far, State-wise; (c) whether the Government has noted the concern among the public and postal employees over the closure of Post Offices; and (d) if so, the details of the measures proposed by the Government to address the same?
