GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF CIVIL AVIATION LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. : 1913 ( TO BE ANSWERED ON THE 30th July 2026 ) COMMERCIAL FLIGHT SERVICES FROM UTTARLAI AIRPORT 1913. SHRI UMMEDA RAM BENIWAL Will the Minister of CIVIL AVIATION be pleased to state:- (a) whether the Government proposes to commence regular commercial flight services from Uttarlai Air Force Station in Barmer district of Rajasthan under the UDAN Scheme; (b) if so, the details and the present status thereof along with the reasons for the delay in commencement of scheduled commercial flight operations therefrom; (c) whether any review has been undertaken to identify the factors affecting the timely implementation of the project and if so, the details thereof; and (d) whether any corrective measures have been taken pursuant to such review and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER Minister of State in the Ministry of CIVIL AVIATION (Shri Murlidhar Mohol) (a) to (d) : Uttarlai Airport, owned by the Indian Air Force (IAF), has been identified for development under the UDAN scheme. For establishment of the Civil Enclave at Uttarlai Airforce Station in Barmer, Airports Authority of India (AAI) has requested 50 acres of land from the Government of Rajasthan, which is yet to be handed over to AAI. Commencement of air services is subject to readiness of the airport. ******
