SHRI MATHESWARAN V S: Will the Minister of COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY be pleased to state: वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री (a) the details of the compensation paid to lease holders and tender allottees as per the DPIIT order dated 03.02.2025 which transferred 6718.91 acres of Salt Land in Odisha; and (b) the number of land that is in still custody of Salt Department out of 67818.91 acres of salt, as on date? ANSWER वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्रालय में राज्य मंत्री (श्री णिणिन प्रसाद) THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY (SHRI JITIN PRASADA) (a) & (b): The ownership of 6718.91 acres of salt land in Odisha vests with the Salt Department as on date. As per guidelines on the matter, the transferee agency shall pay the compensation to the lesses, if any, for extinguishing the lease hold rights and meeting the cost of rehabilitation of the salt workers. As no transfer of land has taken place, the question of payment of compensation does not arise. ********
