(a) the progress of the construction work of 318 Km long four lane road
from Basirhat to Jangipur covering all three districts Nadia, Murshidabad and
North-24 Parganas;
(b) the time by which the project is likely to be completed; and
(c) whether the Union Government is going to arrange a special meeting
with State Government and Local Administration of these districts to take
urgent measures for expediting this project as it is much needed for the
people, farmers and businessmen of these backward areas and if so, the
details thereof?

(a) to (c) National Highway (NH) - 312, passing through the districts of
Nadia, Murshidabad and North 24 Parganas from Basirhat to Jangipur has
been entrusted to National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in year 2023.
The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for 4-laning has not been
prepared. Government will undertake consultation with all stakeholders
including the State Government and local administration whenever the DPR
for the stretch is taken up.
