Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) details of efforts to enhance road connectivity and infrastructure development in Kolhapur,
Maharashtra, over the last three years;
(b) how many new bridges, bypasses and service roads have been constructed to improve intra-district
and inter-State connectivity, what measures are being taken to support logistics, industrial transport and
tourism through upgraded road networks; and
(c) how does the Ministry collaborate with Maharashtra State authorities to ensure sustainable road
development, reduce congestion and improve maintenance practices, thereby promoting economic
growth, employment opportunities and overall regional development in Kolhapur?

(c) The inputs from all stakeholders including the State Government authorities are taken into account at
the time of preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) to ensure sustainable road development,
reduce congestion and improve maintenance practices, thereby promoting economic growth,
employment opportunities and overall regional development including that of Kolhapur. Construction
of National Highways requires the active support and partnership of the State Governments & District
