pilgrimage like temples and ancient monuments in the State of Tamil Nadu especially in
Archaeological Survey of India (ASl) protected Erumbeeswarar Temple in Thiruverumbur;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the details of the funds allocated and utilised for development like restoration, conservation and
improvement of visitor amenities of the said places/temple including ASI maintained temples
during the last three years and the current year?

(a) There are 412 nos. of centrally protected monuments/ sites including temples under the
& jurisdiction of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in the State of Tamil Nadu. Conservation,
(b) preservation, maintenance and beautification of these 412 centrally protected monuments/sites is a
continuous process and is taken up as per the requirement and availability of resources. All the
monuments/sites are in a good state of preservation. The details of development works including
beautification works carried out by ASI in the State of Tamil Nadu including Erumbeeswarar
Temple in Thiruverumbur during last three years are given at Annexure-I.
(c) The details of amount allocated and utilised for the conservation, preservation and restoration of
these 412 monuments including temples during the last three years and current financial year are
