GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF CULTURE LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO.3864 ANSWERED ON 16.03.2026 CONSERVATION OF PROTECTED MONUMENTS AND HERITAGE PRECINCTS IN OLD DELHI 3864. SHRI PRAVEEN KHANDELWAL: Will the Minister of CULTURE be pleased to state: (a) the details of the number of protected monuments and heritage precincts located in Old Delhi including Chandni Chowk; (b) the details of the conservation works undertaken during the last five years; (c) the details of the funds allocated and utilised; and (d) the details of the coordination mechanism with municipal and State authorities? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF CULTURE AND TOURISM (SHRI GAJENDRA SINGH SHEKHAWAT) (a) There are 13 protected monuments located in Old Delhi under Archaeological Survey of India, the details are at Annexure. (b)& The conservation and maintenance of protected monuments and protected areas (sites) is (c) carried out as per requirement, priority and availability of resources, which is a regular phenomenon, following the National Conservation Policy, 2014.
